Valorant – shooter from the creators of League of Legends promises to be extremely interesting. Low system requirements, no lags, no cheaters and many designs from CS:GO. This title is something we all have waited for in times where every game feels dead and old.

RIOT

Without a doubt one of the key factors responsible for success of any game is developing studio. The most popular games are often created by well known developers like EA, Blizzard or Valve, Due to huge success of League of Legends Riot Games have established themselves among that group. Not only they have created rich and popular brand that grab people’s attention but also earned a lot of trust from gaming community. League of Legends is one most recognized and long living games in history for a reason. Looking at how they approach their games we can expect that Valorant will not be abandoned after the release and Riot will put a lot of effort to improve the game and make it as good as possible.

Finally something for CS:GO players

Counter Strike is probably the biggest first person shooter ever but for a long time there was not a true competitor to that game, now there is. In the recent years we have seen a big hype for battle royale games like Fortnite, PUBG or Apex Legends. All those games were really popular and still are, but they didn’t offer competitive, tactical shooter experience that CS:GO players love. Speaking of competitive, Overwatch seems to had the best chance to fight with Counter Strike but those are very different type of shooters. For many CS players Overwatch was too fast and ultimately Blizzard wasn’t able to bring a lot of that big community to their game. After 8 years since release and all those new games that came out, CS:GO is still on top. In fact recently was even doing better than ever before. Riots decision to make Valorant a similar game to Counter Strike is not accidental. They know how big that cake is, and they want a piece of it.

Can Valorant beat CS:GO?

Accessible to everyone

For obvious reasons price will always affect the popularity of a game. If you go to twitch.tv and look at most watched games you will see that a lot of them are either free to play or really cheap. As we know you will not have to pay a single dollar to play Valorant and see if you like it. Another important factor besides the price is system requirements. We all hate when we try to play specific game but our computer is simply not good enough. With Valorant that’s not going to happen. Upcoming Riots game will run on surprisingly low-end PCs.

Esports

Not everyone likes to watch sweaty guys playing video games for money but for a lot of people it’s a good source of entertainment and way to learn how to play better. Either you like it or not, esports business is constantly growing. It’s estimated that the global esports market will exceed $1.6 billion by 2021. Of course Riot is aware of that. Right now League of Legends is home to the biggest esports scene of all games. It’s one of the reasons why the game is still alive after so many years. With Valorant, Riot is planning to do the same. Looking at the way the game has been designed we can expect a lot of tournaments in the future.
